Indymedia film evening at Spitz

Just back from Indymedia film evening at Spitz – of events including the 3 buses bound for Fairford on 22nd March which got hijacked by police; protestors being shot at in Oregon on 7th April; and the heavyhanded police tactics in Quebec at the Free Trade Agreement protests (2001?), made for some shocking viewing. Much more poignant to actually see these events rather than just read about them.
Rather than the smarmy talking-to the Iraqi’s got today by Bush & Blair on tv, they should have showed them the Indymedia films of just how the freedom-loving west treats those that try to draw attention to injustice. Oh, and I’m sure they’d love the edited version of Bush’s state of the union address which actually has him telling the truth for a change!
