April fools day saw protests in different UK cities against corporate and mainstream media's bias towards US/UK attack on Iraq. In London around 50 people, including a samba band and some dancers, protested outside the BBC's Bush House headquarters where a line of police and security protected the front gates of the building. "No War" and "Real Lives, Not Media Lies" slogans where combined with the rythms of the samba band. BBC journalists going in and out of the building were given leaflets explaining the action.
