Starting off at Liverpool Street, the first port of call was the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where protesters left a section of oil pipeline made out of fabric outside the entrance. One banner held high read 'No public money for Baku-Ceyhan pipeline'.

The march then made its way to the BP oil offices in Finsbury square, where a photo call was made with pipes laid on the steps to their offices. The oil extracted from the Caspian will be heading directly into the Western market of which Turkey will be a vital route, explaining the importance being placed on their introduction to the European economy.

One man who was handing out flyers was searched under section 44 of the terrorism Act, an increasingly commom practice used by police.

Several speeches were made before the protesters dispersed.
