Leslie Cagan for Mayor!

Under the most bizarre orwelian nightmare, which was brought to you by that big fat liar Commissioner "Only 100,000 Marchers and we didn't use any pepper spray" Kelly and the Mayor "Bribe All the Ethnic Groups the Day of the Peace Rally with Millions of Dollars"Bloomberg and U.S. Attorney General John"I Don't Want to See Justice When I Come into Work in the Morning, Cover that Thing Up"Ashcroft and by Mr. George "Orange Alert Federal Judge Control"Bush, the United for Peace and Justice coalition was still able to pull off successful Marches and a Rally.
The Powers on High Rise Manhattan attempted to smash the earth worms with a poorly planned hammer only too, in the end double and triple the amount of earth worms composting fascism back into democracy. With over hundred feeder marches overwhelming the hammerheads, the Kelly, Bloomberg, White House strategy blew up in their little fascist faces like unconscious pyros putting out fire with gasoline. And of course the evil protesters injuring those horses by throwing themselves under the horse's hooves, spawn of Satan, evil protesters. I understand Commissioner Kelly just joined PETA in response. Not considering the consequences of using security considerations as an excuse to limit civil liberties the hammerheads should give it all up and go into organic gardening as they are really great at creating earth worms on not just a local scale but on a global one.
I can't help but feeling sorry for these nine year old boys in grown men's bodies. They're not in touch with humanity's survival instinct. The need to save what life there is still left on this planet is a natural function of our animal self. Kelly, Bloomberg, and Bush need to come down and jump in the mosh pit with the rest of us to get in touch with their animal selves, you know they're gentle penis, leave their violent penis behind. They need to trust in their fellow men and women to catch them when they jump off the stage into the pit. But the only vision Kelly, Bloomberg, and Bush can see is the empty dance floor as they get trampled to death running for the front door in the Bush High Alert Code Orange inspired nightmare.
With the economy dissolving around us like pee in the Jacuzzi as a result of the uncertainty created by our scared shitless of not pleasing his father leader, the Bush brain trust finally came up the witty retort to the world's largest peace movement ever several days thereafter (once again revealing a poor turn around time in Bush's head) while attempting to insult Clinton but missing and hitting the Ad Council, the crack addict mangled the script once again stating, more or less that he would not rule by focus groups. Let's see, 18 million people marching worldwide, vast majorities of Europeans in the latest polling data picking the description "Arrogant Superpower" to describe American foreign policy and of course the real shocker of leading Democrats finding some courage to speak out against the war now that the American people they're supposed to be leading have taken the task of leadership into their own hands, marching and polling against the War. But thanks to not only the Global Peace March but also many members of the French Parliament for thanking the Bush administration after Blix's February 14th report to the U.N. for the "buildup of troops in the Persian Gulf, bringing the pressure to bear on Saddam Hussein making it possible for the inspections to work so successfully, therefore creating the support in the U.N. for inspections to continue". Bush actually spit out a coherent sentence on the afternoon of February 20th saying that all money that was spent on a buildup of the Persian Gulf might actually avert war leaving open the possibility that the Bush administration might take the face saving bait put out by the French parliamentarians. I love it, European three-dimensional geopolitical thinking being taught to the two dimensional, old and diseased dog in the White House. Of course it only means that the Bush regime will put the saving face option into the general world domination tool kit and only use it when it is absolutely convenient.
Meanwhile, my fear is that if the conservative elite's don't get to invade the Arab oil states they'll turn their lust for some one to dominate to Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina to secure not "The Strategic Oil Supply" but a strategic oil supply, albeit much smaller. With a plane carrying U.S. and Colombian intelligence officials on board crashing in the rebel controlled jungle of Colombia and three Venezuelan soldiers who were rebelling against the fairly elected Venezuelan government of Hugo Chavez along with one protester being kidnapped, tortured and assassinated and Wall St. screaming inflation at the top of their lungs as the price of oil approaches $40 a barrel, Otto Reich might be upping the ante for mutating Manifest Destiny into a much worse disease than it ever was.
Well, I guess it's par for the course. I blame myself really. I simply should have just worked harder on getting the Rolled Up Hundred Dollar Bill Man idea going in the 2000 election chasing Bush around like the Cigarette Man chased Senator Dole in 96, with Rolled Up Hundred Dollar Bill Man yelling at the top of his lungs "who's your daddy" "who's your daddy"while at the same time filming Bush's reactive shot liver do his screaming for his otherwise vacant brain. But I pine for pre election theft days, when the conservatives were still bashing the press for being to liberal, boy were they wrong. Christ, you can't even get a straight story out of NPR any more. They've got their heads so far up their corporate sponsor's but holes they've completely forgotten "Contributors Like You". You think they could've gotten out of their posh offices and gone down and actually taken a good look at the marches and rally taking place on the streets of the New York and given the public a relatively honest assessment of how many people actually did show up.
With all that said, my hat is off to United for Peace and Justice (UFPJ), FreeSpeechTV.org, DemocracyNow.org, NYC.Indymedia.org and specifically to Leslie Cagan who dragged herself off her couch where she collapsed from exhaustion and the flu after her and her pals at UFPJ got mugged by a bunch of chickenshit federal judges and got herself down to the historic rally giving two speeches in a voice so gravelly it could have built the road to peace all by it self. Thanks for everything Leslie. Lets here it folks, Leslie Cagan for Mayor. Leslie Cagan for Mayor. Leslie Cagan for Mayor. Man, I love New York.
P.S. If any local peace groups would like the Living and Breathing film production " Build Up to Peace" to come to your community as a fund raiser please contact me at the email above.
