The news coming in from Manchester this evening is tragic yet also an unwelcome herald of things to come.
The reports that a police officer has been murdered while carrying out what has been described as an "anti-terrorism raid" are shocking in its violence and its consequences. The British Government of New Labour should be utterly ashamed of its immigration policy over the past few years which has allowed a 5th column of religous extremists to settle freely, and mostly at British taxpayers' expense, in various towns and cities across these islands. As our military forces depart in large numbers for the Middle East for an inevitable conflict with Iraq, our law enforcement bodies are left to deal with those that make up the 5th column which is already here residing in obscure seaside apartments, suburban houses and inner city flats the length and breadth of our country.
The intelligence services so far have done an excellent job, carrying out arrests of aliens in Edinburgh, London, Bournemouth and other towns and cities certainly preventing attacks that would have otherwise resulted in substantial loss of life, limb and property, but this is clearly the tip of a very large iceberg. Hundreds of thousands of would be "asylum seekers" have entered these islands in the past few years; many have disappeared from the system, others are receiving benefits and even worse, many are from the very countries that the US/UK Allies identify as "problem states". If such madness had been manifest in the late 1930s, tens of thousands of German "asylum seekers" would have been allowed to enter our shores and then set about to undermine our institutions and infra-structure so that Britain would be utterly defeated and we would all be forced to speak German and wave a foreign flag. One has to question the Government's inaction on this key subject which could see thousands of Britons adversely effected by a terrorist attack on a "soft target" like a school, housing estate or shopping centre.
As the prospect of a USA/UK led attack on Iraq increases over the next few weeks it is highly likely we will witness even more pre-emptive raids by our Police Forces and other law enforcement agencies.
The BNP extends its sympathises to the widow and family of the murdered Manchester police officer who was tonight in the front-line to protect the people of the city against a likely violent attack on their life and liberties. If the Government of Tony Blair had only adopted and enforced a stricter immigration policy this murder could have been avoided.
We demand that the Government shut its "open door" asylum policy immediately. How many Britons in or out of uniform have to die to make New Labour see some sense on this issue?
