[chicagomayday] : How to Stop the War With Iraq: An Action Plan

While non-violent stay-at-homes won't accomplish all that this person advocates, it's a beginning to answering the question, How do we stop this war? Other ideas?

So how do we stop this war with Iraq?

The answer is simply said but hard to promote and create. The first step is educating the masses of American and British people about the real reasons for the war. This is a war being fought for the interests of multinational corporations and the super rich ruling classes both in the U.S. and Great Britain. Their combined interests is the domination of the entire planet by making it safe for U.S. and British corporations to set up shop anywhere within the planet and exploit the natural resources and the people of each region within the planet.
The only way to stop this war is to stop all business as usual within the U.S. and Great Britain. This is where the working people and farmers must finally determine collectively to refuse to go along with this immoral and unjust war. We must join together and shut the country down when and if the war begins. Nothing should move. Everyone should stay home until the war is ended. By shutting down the entire country and calling for mass local demonstration in every city and town within the U.S. This is what is known as a mass political strike to end the war now. There is no way the United States or Great Britain can conduct a war with a mass strike at
home. All the universities need to be closed and then opened to become organizational centers. Each community needs to form its own joint peace council and send representatives to the National Peace Council in Washington DC who will immediately place our demands before the two governments and the United Nations to stop the war.
Only by nonviolent mass direct political action are we going to stop this war and make our nations safe. By getting rid of the far right regime intent on creating a new global world order are we going to successfully transform American and Great Britain into the kind of societies where human needs come before corporate expansion and profit. The masses of American students, working people and farmers joined with labor movement and farmers of Great Britain. This will enable us to join other farmer, workers and students throughout the world to create a nonviolent humane society where each according to their means and each according to their abilities will place humanity on a new and different path rather than the current road of violence and mass destruction.
Like I said this is not going to be easy but we need to begin to promote the resistance to the war here at home
And as long as we do this in a mass nonviolent means truth will prevail and justice served. By abolishing the military-industrial-complex and the all of the world’s oil cartels we will take the first step in uprooting the causes of all our economical, social and political problems which is a direct threat to the very future of the planet. The planet is being destroyed by war and fossil fuels. We need to transform our world global economy into a system, which plans production for all of our environment and us.
