Saudi opposition gets radio voice

Such stations are rare in the Arab world, particularly in Saudi where all aspects of life including the media are closely controlled by the Royal Family and ruling elite. New technology means that the station can operate from an unnamed European country and people can phone up to participate in the station's many talk shows without fear of harassment. Saad al-Fagih, A spokesman for the Movement for Islamic Reform In Arabia, said that the topics discussed included lack of transparency in the Saudi system, corruption, poverty and failure to implement Islamic law.
