It was interesting to observe the Muslim “asylum seekers” in at the Sangette camp the other day when the French authorities were sorting out those who could come to the UK and those who could not. The group of mainly young men with stylish haircuts, designer jeans and leather coats did not look exactly like people who had just fled the deserts of Afghanistan or Iraq. I found the expression of agony, on the faces of those who were told they could not come to the UK, to be amazing. What was going to be their fate I wondered? Were they to be confined to eating pork pies and clearing minefields in Iraq for the rest of their lives? No much worse it seems, they would have to stay in France – shock horror!!

It is difficult to think of a worse fate for a young man than to be “imprisoned” in such a terrible land. Beautiful and uncrowded countryside, plenty of wine and garlic, skiing and lounging around in terrible places like St Tropez. It can’t possibly be the case that millions of Brits save their hard-earned cash to spend a couple of weeks a year in such a terrible place.

It seems that their first choice was the UK. Perhaps Muslims prefer our wet climate, fish & chips and the taste of hops in the beer. Or perhaps its because they know that there are 1000s of dopey, left-wing do-gooders waiting to give them sacks of taxpayers cash and free housing.

I was listening to the local BBC Bristol the other morning and there was the usual female “spokesperson” from some left-wing asylum-loving group criticising the good people of Bristol on behalf of some dumb woman from Somalia (Bristol seems to be a centre for Somalian immigrants and Yardie gangs). This oddball group had the damn nerve to say that we Bristolians were cold and unfriendly towards such people. This non-English speaking woman, had apparently gone to a local GP (where she was not registered) asking for what sounded like dental care and an eye test. Although she cannot speak English, she had still allegedly managed to relay to this left-wing asylum-loving group that she was given cold and off-hand treatment.

What an ungrateful bitch I thought, this woman should get down on her prayer mat each day and thank her god that the good Bristolians have given her asylum. The left-wing asylum-loving group was less grateful however, they suggested that GPs have people available who can translate and that free childcare is available so that these people can go to College.

It crossed my mind that I wouldn’t mind a bit of free childcare and extra cover at my over-stretched local GP’s surgery – no such luck, I’m just a hard working Brit!
