Around 70 campaigners attended the demonstration against the war on Iraq and American NMD.The protest started at the main gate, the fence being covered with freedom from america banners and American flags, with Stop Star Wars across them. After hearing a speech from Ann Cryer, Labour MP for Keighley the protest set off on a a slow walk around the base, with Lindis Percy of CAAB pointing out various features of the base, and talking about its history and use.

There was a heavy Police presence throughout the day, both inside and outside the base with at least 3 video teams filming demonstrators.
