Argentinian Embassy - TPK court appearance yesterday!

Those Pesky Kids appeared in court again yesterday. Bail conditions lifted but CPS given another chance, despite failing to meet it's own deadline!
7 of the 8 Pesky Kids appeared at Bow Streets Magistrate to answer bail for their role in the occupation at the Argentinian Embassy. The 8th was sadly, not well enough to attend. :-(
At the last hearing, the CPS had asked for 4 weeks in which to obtain the Attorney-General's permission to proceed with the prosecution.
Yesterday, they admitted that they had not yet got the paperwork ready to send to the Attorney General. The defence lawyers asked for the case to be thrown out, and pointed out that Those Pesky Kids had already had their liberty curtailed for 4 weeks, with the bail condition that they do not go within 200metres of any diplomatic premises. Anyone know the location of every single diplomatic premise in London? No? Those Pesky Kids neither!!
The judge agreed to another 4 week adjournemt to allow the CPS to obtain permission, despite being informed by a defence lawyer who had been ringing around to chase the progress of the file, that to date, the CPS had done nothing more than a "paper-shuffling" exercise, and how this seems to indicate that it is not as serious a matter as the CPS pretend it is.
The judge lifted the bail conditions of the 7 present, and hopefully will do the same for the 8 Kid, when she is well enough to attend. Although he lifted the bail conditions, he stated that this was "not an invitation to make a nuisance of yourselves".
WHILST THE STATE MAY BELIEVE THAT PROTESTORS ARE MAKING A NUISANCE OF THEMSELVES, THEY ALSO NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE SERIOUS POLITICAL POINTS TO BE MADE, AND THAT TPK WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED OR SILENCED BY THE STATE'S DICTATORIAL BEHAVIOUR, NOR BY IT'S ATTEMPTS TO CRIMINALISE DISSENT.
A STATE THAT CANNOT TOLERATE DISSENT IS A STATE THAT HAS BACKED ITSELF INTO A CORNER!!!!!!!! IT IS A STATE THAT UNDERSTANDS THAT IT'S OWN LEGITIMACY HAS BEEN SO UNDERMINED, THAT IT WILL BUCKLE IF IT DOES NOT THREATEN THOSE WHO OPPOSE IT'S POLICIES.
