A fairly good crowd (+-200) gathered in Trafalgur Sq. today, the anniversary of the publication (in the now single issue asylum bashing Express) of the 'Diaries of Despair', an insight into the horrific cruelty of the millions of needless animal tests conducted each year in the UK. We made our way down, via parliament, to the home office with costumes, monkey masks and a lot of noise. There was a mass 'die-in' outside the home office and petitions were handed in. There was a positive and peaceful atmosphere. Although there were large police numbers, they restricted themselves to watching and filming anyone foolish enough to take off their masks(!)....
The response of passersby was quite encouraging as many activists handed out leaflets.
There were a lot of photos being taken, so anyone got any pictures?
