an Israeli's answer to John Pilgers article of last week

THIS IS WHAT A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK IS THE TRUTH
ITS UP TO US TO RE-EDUCATE THEM IN A WAY THEY CAN UNDERSTAND
There are two sides to the Naqba (tragedy) suffered by the Arab residence of
Palestine.
Below (the pilger article-aAa)you have regurgitated the propaganda and standard classroom lessons
delivered for 50 years by dictatorships to their captive citizens. You left
out the lessons concerning; Jews killing non-jews to use there blood to make
matzos for passover; the huge exaggeration of the Holocaust by the Jews to
bilk the Germans out of money and justify the jewish crimes against the
Palestinian people; the rape and murder of arabs by jews in Israel that goes
on continually; and the fact that there is a group of jews that control the
US, British, and other Western Governments of the World.
The Facts of history contradict the common Arab assertions above and below.
And these hateful lies have condemned the middle east to constant bloodshed.
Israel has sued for peace with its neighbors several times and the answer
was always war.
In the mid 1800s when the persecuted jewish people of Europe began legally
emigrating to what was then the ottoman province of Palestine. The Jews
collected funds bought land for greatly inflated prices and sent small
groups of jews to farm the purchased land. Some local arabs welcomed the
Jews other saw them as a source of loot, and still other foresaw the threat
that Jews returning to their homeland could turn into something much bigger.
After WWI the growing jewish population was seen as a threat to the
demographic make-up of British mandate Palestine. The Arabs tortured,
killed and rioted to make their point. In order to pacify the Arabs, the
British government delivered edicts that forbade Jews from possesing weapons
to defend themselves and limited jewish emigration to a trickle that was to
be eventually stopped. No other group was limited from emigrating to
Palestine only the Jews.
After the destruction of European Jewry and the end of WWII, which saw the
local Arab of Palestine side with Hitler, many jews from europe attempted
to emigrate to Palestine by any means, in spite of the British attempt to
stop it. The Jews began a gorilla war to expel the British and to defend
themselves against the increasingly hostile arabs.
In 1948 the British had had enough and asked the UN to provide a solution.
The UN under pressure from many sides developed a partition plan that was
grossly unfair to the jews in that areas with huge majorities of jews were
designated as international areas or places in the arab part of the
partition. The Jews accepted the partition, nonetheless. the Arabs rejected
it and all 22 arab nations sent troops to destroy the Jewish state. The
Jews were able to defend there settlements with the accept ion of Jerusalem
and the surrounding area. The British trained and equipped Jordanians were
able to defeat the Jewish defenses and expel 80,000 jews from there homes.
there was a ceasefire line drawn that remained until 1967. (a ceasefire line
not a border) The arabs that remained in Israel were given citizenship. The
Jews in Arab countries were expelled.
Israel offered to return all captured land to the arabs in 1967 in exchange
for peace but were refused and the arabs attacked in 1973.
Israel offered to create, for the first time in modern history, a
Palestinian state in 95% of the territory liberated from arab rule in 1967
with territory in Israel given to compensate for the rest. The arab answer
was war.
These are the facts. But facts make no difference. Israel has only two
choices, continue to defend itself or surrender to the arabs and beg for
mercy. Unfortunately, the arabs offer no other choice.
