Icelandic Embassy Targeted by Activists
Copied from IMC Scotland: On the morning of 20th July, the Icelandic embassy on Queen St, Edinburgh was targeted by members of Saving Iceland(1). Paint was thrown on the building, the lock was glued and a message was affixed to the exterior reading “The Whole World is Watching”. “Iceland Bleeds” was also painted on the steps. The action served as response to recent acts of police brutality against Saving Iceland activists in Reykjavik who continue to oppose the assault on the Icelandic wilderness by heavy industry.Posstscript: the insurrectional perspective
More than a year has passed since we finished the second issue of our journal Dissident, which introduced insurrectional anarchism in Sweden. We chose to introduce the insurrectional perspective because we think it brings us valuable insights and experiences. These include the critique of organisational fetishism and activism, the shift of perspective from the mass to the active minority, and the importance of projectuality. Some critics, mostly syndicalists, unfortunately interpreted the insurrectional perspective in absolute terms. This text aims to answer those concerns and move the discussion forward.Presidential Candidate Wants to Change US Dollar

The detention of at least seven medics in connection with last week’s failed terror attacks in Britain has added to the public’s sense of shock. All the more so since the alleged perpetrators of the attacks were both initially identified as doctors working at Glasgow’s Royal Alexandra Hospital.Scotland United Against Terrorism

John Bowden and Guantanamo Bay
I just received a lovely letter from John Bowden. He has been told in writing why he isn't allowed to hear the CD I made for him. An assistant governor at Glenochil listened to it and deemed it contained sectarian songs. When asked for an example she said it was the Seize the Day song "Club X-Ray". She wrote this clearly criticised Guantanamo Bay and such criticisms would offend prison staff.5 Fingers Beat 16000 G8 Cops: Are we winning again?

Nafeez Ahmed: Whose Bombs?
How to understand the attempted but largely failed terrorist plots uncovered since last Friday? Police officers on June 29 dismantled two car bombs made from gas canisters, gasoline and nails, parked in central London’s major theatre and shopping districts. A day later, two men rammed a Jeep Cherokee, filled with flammable material, into a terminal entrance at Glasgow airport. The series of attempted attacks follows hot on the heels of an attempted al-Qaeda attack in the United States earlier in June.
The chronology requires further probing, and indeed, preliminary analysis raises some unresolved questions.

Statement of Solidarity: Free John Bowden
If it is already pathetic that the state cries "terrorists!" when it is reminded of anarchism, then it is too much too bear in the case of John Bowden, a long-term prisoner sitting in isolation.John Bowden writes from HMP Glenochil

The rush for ‘biofuels’ is already causing serious damage. Far from being sustainable, the spread of what are more accurately called ‘agrofuels’ – liquid fuels produced from biomass grown in large-scale monocultures – is compromising biodiversity and fuelling human rights violations. The argument that these ‘biofuels’ will mitigate climate change is unproven – indeed, the destruction of rainforests, peatlands and other ecosystems to make way for agrofuel plantations will accelerate global warming.Glasgow False Flag Terror - NOT!
When the two pathetic 'car bombs' were found in London, many people were quite rightly skeptical. While the media predictable spouted nonsense about the failed attacks having all the hallmarks of everyones favorite bogyman, al-Qaeda, the 'truth movement' people started their own predictable 'False Flag' speculation. Now however, the attack at Glasgow airport shed doubt onto those pointing at the British Security Forces as those behind the attacks.Immigration Reform Is Needed, After Bush
Stewart Alexander, a presidential hopeful with the Peace and Freedom Party, says, “I believe Congress should work on comprehensive immigration reform after President Bush ends his term in office. I do not believe this important issue should be used as a political football or as a bandage for an administration that is hemorrhaging before the nation and the world.”Actions In Support of John Bowden – Friday 13th July
