Days of Action in Support of Asylum Seekers in Manchester!

The North West Asylum Seekers Defence Group is holding a day of action against all deportations on Market St, Manchester.

As part of Refugee Week, on Thursday 22nd June 2006, NWASDG is organising a picket of Dallas Court, as part of a national day of action against outside Immigration Reporting Centres, called by Tyneside Community Action for Refugees.

All Anti-Deportation, Anti-Racist Activists, Socialists and all those opposed Britains racist immigritation laws are invited to join all NWASDG Events. Read more >>

Fundraising dinner for NCADC Sunday 16th April

On Sunday 16th April there will be a fundraising dinner in support of the National Coalition of Anti-Deportation Campaigns (NCADC). The Dinner (3 courses!) will be at the Basement on Lever Street (Manchester City Centre) and will start at 7pm. There will also be Live acoustic music from the Waverton Collective (beautiful folky stuff)and entertainment from Chloe Poems. Suggested donation for this event is £8 and all proceeds will go to NCADC.

National Coalition of Anti-Deportation Campaigns (NCADC)

NCADC went bust on Saturday the 4th of February when all funding for the full time staff and running costs of all offices came to an end. With immediate effect we have to announce the closure of NCADC's North East & Scotland office on Tuesday 28th February and barring a miracle the closure of the North West Office in Manchester will follow at the end of March and complete closure of NCADC in May. Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! is calling a demonstration/protest for the 27 January 2006 at 10 am outside Dallas Court, Immigration Reception Centre, South Langworthy Road, Salford Quays. This is in support of Eucharia Jakpa and her four year old son Timeyi who have been asked to report 'to prepare their travel documents'. it is possible that they will be seized and maybe later forcibly deported against their will if this happens.
