Jane Mary Mutetsi from Rwanda was 'captured' when reporting Monday morning in Nottingham and is currently detained in Yarl's Wood IRC,  due to be forcibly removed from the UK on Thursday 16th October @ 20.00 hrs on Kenya Airways flight KQ101 from London Heathrow to Nairobi and KQ410 to Entebbe.

Mustafa Abdulrahim Mustafawas, who has been in UK since June 2004, was detained when he reported at his reporting centre in Loughborough this week. He criticised the Sudanese regime though his film work for which he was tortured: beaten and humiliated. We urge you to write on his behalf, to the Home Secretary, the Immigration Minister, and the Airline. Mustafa should not be returned to Sudan.

As you may know, Hicham Yezza was originally arrested at the University of Nottingham in May along with Rizwaan Sabir in a bogus 'terror operation'. The pair were then released without charge (or apology); Hich was swiftly re-arrested on 'immigration grouds' and held in detention for a further three weeks. THE FLAME (director Ingrid Sinclair) film show was a quite a success attracting an approximate number of 50 or so people. There was also quiet a good representation of various nationalities: 12 Zimbabweans, 3 Congolese, 2 Burundi, 1 Asian, 1 Malawian and approx. 25 British. Organisations represented included Refugee Forum, No Borders, Indymedia, NAWEF (Nottingham African Women Empowerment Forum) and of the hosts Nottingham Zimbabwe Community Network (NZCN).

On Monday May 16th, the first day of Refugee Week 2008, Nottingham Community worker Amdani Juma, whose deportation was postponed for the second time on Tuesday 10th June, was released on bail pending a Judicial Review Hearing and returned to Nottingham.
