However, the article omits to mention that this drug - TGN1412 - with its
disastrous and "unexpected biological effect" was genetically engineered.

An inspirational project set up in Nottingham.

The prison is severely overcrowded. Congestion precipitates the spread of infectious diseases that prevail due to malnutrition and a lack of hygiene, clean water and adequate health care. Prisoners exist in squalor without even the most basic of necessities. However, what the prison is perhaps most notorious for is its problem of gang rape, the existence of which, though frighteningly common-place, is often denied because of attitude towards homosexuality in East African society.

On Wednesday 28th June the J B Spray building in Radford was squatted. It was illegally evicted by the police on Friday 30th June and reoccupied on Saturday 1st July. A new squat is born in Squattingham!

Day 6 of the work saw the continuation of the rendering of the straw bales that went up over winter and some more finishing touches to the foundations of the area that will be baled later this week.

Sheffield Indymedia has organised a series of film screenings that challange the concept of the perputal 'war on terror' and questions the real motives of the governments and corporations who are promoting this war.

These films have never been seen on TV or screened in the cinema.

One of the central themes of many of the films is the proposition that the attacks in New York and Washington on 11th September 2001 were actually an inside job organised by elements within the US administration in order to win public support for an offensive war to gain control of oil resources in the Middle East.

The films are screening every Sunday evening in July at SIF (Sheffield Independent Film) on Brown Street, entry is a suggested donation of £1 and there will be time for discussion about the issues raised in the films after each screening.

Threshers, of 167 Derby Road, Nottingham, is facing a consumer boycott after an individual appearing to be the store owner or manager brutally attacked an activist in the street. The store has been the focus of a campaign against no headwear policies which attack lifestyle choice and persecute religious minorities.
