Benny Morris: The Song Remains the Same?

With his book, 'The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem' - in which he claimed that early war crimes committed by Israel against Palestines led to the refugee problem of today - Israeli historian Benny Morris became a pariah in his own country, and a hero, as well as much-utilised reference point, for the Pro-Palestinian cause. (He is freqently cited by posters on Indymedia). He summed up his current views on the Israeli-Palestinian crisis in this recent article in Haaretz Magazine. It is definitely worth reading.

A chance to meet an Australian Aboriginal leader in London

Tears of joy after winning a land rights ruling, later overturned.
An Australian Aboriginal leader will be in London from 11 to 14 January to try to start legal proceedings against The Crown for allowing Australian governments to make laws harming the Aborigines. No One Is Illegal Stop Deprotations

RACIST IMMIGRATION SWEEP AND DEPORTATIONS OUTSIDE OF LONDON TUBE STATION:
NO ONE IS ILLEGAL

Yesterday at 3pm in central London, outside of Victoria tube station
something happened which I have not seen before. Almost 40 police officers
and immigration services officers standing in a massive line, with
sniffing dogs detaining, searching, and stopping people. At first I was
not sure about what I had seen, but as soon as I realized the only people
who were being stopped were people of colour, especially Arabs, and South
Asians it was either about stopping asylum seekers or "terrorists". Read more >>
