Khoodeelaar! Demo today in Westminster against Crossrail hole Bill

notocrossrail | 30.01.2007 08:39 | Analysis | Indymedia | Social Struggles | London | World

Today's Independent newspaper FrontPage is devoted to a report on ex MP Alice Mahon's campaign for a properly funded NHS. Alice Mahon's own eye sight is in need of treatment. But she can't get treatment as her local Primary Health Care Trust is negligent and has got its priorities wrong. This illustrates just how wrong those who make decisions about public money can be . The only way that they can be stopped from abusing their positions is by taking a stand against the wrongs that they do. Like the promoters of the Crossrail Bill, who have assumed that there would be no opposition to the crass plans, no matter how dangerous, lethal and violating of the people the Crossrail hole plan is. The promoters have operated on the assumption that most people are political and social zombies and will not take stands to defend their human social environmental economic community and democratic rights. In most cases, they have got that right. Not so in relation to the Crossrail hole attacks plan against the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 Area community. It is a very deprived community. The last thing it needs is additional deprivation being heaped on it by Crossrail hole plotters.

The Khoodeelaar! No to Crossrail hole Bill demonstration is at 1200 today Tuesday 30 January 2007 outside the Houses of Parliament at Westminster
Why another Khoodeelaar! Demonstration against CrossRail hole Bill outside the UK Houses of Parliament? – An updated summary of reasons for this demonstration taking place at midday today Tuesday 30 January 2007Why indeed! The Khoodeelaar! movement was established to oppose the Crossrail hole attack on the East End of London. It was conceivable at the time, three years ago, that once the key criticisms of the hugely flawed CrossRail Bill were made known to the projects’ promoters, they would see sense and drop the flawed scheme. It was also conceivable that those who habitually seek – and get elected to – public posts in the name of the constituency and the constituents affected by the CRASSrail hole Bill attacks, would do their job and speak in actual, effective and honest representation of the community in whose name they parade their elected status and pocket the cash and other benefits in that position. The fact is that those elected postholders do not do that. They have not done that. They are not likely to do that in the near future. Hence the Khoodeelaar! demonstration. Hence the Khoodeelaar! formal petition. Hence the Khoodeelaar! demand on Blair and Brown today to scrap[ the flawed scheme . [To be continued] Cossrail is at 1200 today outside the Houses of Parliament
