A video of Uri Davies delivering his talk titled ‘Reversing the Political Zionist Interpretation of Britain’s Colonial Legacy in Palestine’ can be viewed here -  http://youtu.be/_vmhzOmUkuI

Uri Davies begins his discussion by enunciating that the Oslo Accords were a set back, "In my reading the Oslo Accords do not represent a Palestinian Victory, my reading of the Oslo Accords represents a Palestinian set back but the dissent that I voiced at the time was at the presentation of the Accords as Palestinian achievement, Palestinian victory. It was not.”

Uri Davies is an academic & a civil rights activist born to Jewish parents in Jerusalem. He describes himself as a Palestinian Hebrew and is an honorary research fellow at the University of Durham’s Institute for Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies (IMEIS) and at the University of Exeter and an author of several books.

The PRC is as ‘an Independent Consultancy which focuses on the historical, political and legal aspects of the Palestinian Refugees. The organization offers expert advice to various actors and agencies on the question of Palestinian Refugees within the context of the Nakba - The catastrophe following the forced displacement of Palestinians in 1948 - and serves as an information repository on other related aspects of the Palestine question and the Arab-Israeli conflict. It specializes in the research, analysis, and monitor of issues pertaining to the dispersed Palestinians and their internationally recognized legal right to return.'

I've been a fan of Uri Davies' work for some time and it was a great joy to see him in the flesh. This was a fantastic evening and I recommend others who are interested in Palestine and the crimes committed there by the Zionists to take some time to read his work. I would suggest people start with 'Israel- An Apartheid State' or 'Apartheid Israel-Possibilities for the Struggle Within'.
His moving testimony of his conversion to Islam at the time of his marriage is simply wonderful. I think what distinguishes Uri from other writers is his willingness to face the hard questions and give the tough answers, he of course rejects the two state solution (who wouldn't) but is willing to say out loud what we all know, peace will only come to Palestine when the Jews leave. This of course has made him very unpopular with the Zionist press but it is encouraging to see an academic understand the social requirement for it. For those of us who support Fatah and its Revolutionary struggle these individuals are an inspiration.
