Day of Action in Solidarity with prisoner John Bowden
londonabc | 16.06.2012 15:23 | Policing | Repression
Monday 11th of June was day of action in solidarity with long term anarchist prisoner John Bowden. In response to the recent attempts of prison-hired social worker Brenden Barnett to sabotage John’s parole, London ABC called a demonstration outside the parole board’s office at Grenadier House, Horseferry Road. The front desk said they wouldn’t help us, so we stood outside with a banner, flyering passers by and asking to speak to someone from the parole board about John’s case. In the end we managed to speak to someone. We really hope this shows the parole board and prison ‘services’ that there are people on the outside who are watching what they are doing. Because we are.

No-where has anyone said this murderous shit is innocent, that he didn't kill the victim.
Or are you anarchist loons saying he's innocent?
Do tell.

Thats a lie. He got him out of the bath first and then hacked the poor bastard to death.
> No-where has anyone said this murderous shit is innocent, that he didn't kill the victim.
Nope
> Or are you anarchist loons saying he's innocent?
Nope
> Do tell.
They are complaining that he has served his sentence for the crime he was originally sentenced for. But he is not being released for political reasons. Personally, I believe he isn't being released because they don't feel the public would be safe from him (given his original crime which was highly over the top). So, rather than thinking of it as punishing John, think of it as protecting the public.

What about other prisoners?

Why are you so obsessed with this rather unpleasant piece of murdering filth?
Surely there are other scumbags who are guilty of even worse crimes you could support

well, let me start things off by saying this: murder is not exclusive to the human race, most, if not all species of animals kill other species and there own. life and death are indeed cyclic, its all part of it. so get ya head out ya arse and face the fact that sometimes, for some reason, people kill. then under the weight of the bullshit 'civilised' system, they are imprisoned. then after a certain amount of 'punitive' time, they get out on life licence. john bowden has not been released even though i hear that his two co defendants have been out for years. the difference between JB and the others is that he has openly spoken out and acted out against the prison system...it doesnt take a genius to work out that the system hates JB, the screws, the governors, the parole board, they dont like him as he espouses their destruction.
secondly, have you ever served a day in jail in your life?
probably not.
well let me tell you a lot of the time is spent thinking about mistakes you make and how you would sometimes do things differently if given the chance. do you suppose JB has not spent the last thirty years wondering how his life may have turned out had he not killed someone. perhaps he wishes he never had. or on the other hand, maybe he would stick by his actions for whatever reason. the point is, jail is a place where you figure lots of stuff out, and believe me, 30 years inside is literally close to being a lifetime. its time for him to be released, it is long over due. what is happening now is tantamount to torture/cruel punishment for a man who dares to speak out against the prison system.
not withstanding the fact that prison is torture full stop.
let john out.
and trolls fuck you, you clearly dont have a clue about the real world.

You almost construct a reasoned argument (almost) and I thought, "Wow, an anarchist who actually finished primary school", then you blow it with the invective at the end!
I note that in your overcitement in stamping your grubby little fingers over the keyboard, you forgot to answer my question about why you don't have similar campaigns to free other murderers.
It's a shame fred west isn't alive for you to argue he should be freed. But you could start a "Free Rosemary West" campaign as I am sure that would do down well.
there are an awful lot of murderers in prison, and some who might even justify your support as in they are victims of a genuine miscarriage of justice, but I don't think the target of your current campaign is worthy of your support - he tortured someone to death. He should never be let out.
