Student Storage Box's new services come at a time of pressing need, with universities under extreme pressure to make extra money by renting out accommodation to conferences, effectively evicting students over the Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks.
Birmingham, UK – May 2012 -- Student Storage Box, announced today the full UK launch of its national student dedicated storage and shipping services aimed at students and university accommodation departments. The new service, being launched just in time for the Summer break, aims to solve, on a national level, the problem of where students store their belongings if they move out of their accommodation over the Christmas, Easter and Summer periods.
The recent changes to higher education funding make revenue generation more important than ever for universities and colleges, and student accommodation can also serve as bed and breakfast and/or conference accommodation outside term, helping institutions supplement their incomes and continue providing excellent educational and research services. A downside to this efficient use of resources is that university accommodation offices are often inundated with requests for storage from students struggling to find a place to keep their belongings while they are away.
