Not so good in Hyde

Had a phone call from my anti fascist mate in Hyde.
Him and a group of around 20 anti fascists stayed away from the main EDL/BNP demo, so as not to be kettled by the police and to show some fascists the true meaning of militant anti fascism.
This group was confronted by about 80 Asian youth.
Despite trying to tell the Asian youth they were anti fascists, the Asian youth attacked the anti fascists.
Forcing them to retreat, with some of them being forced to jump over the barrier onto the A57M, which is no small drop.
The police quickly turned up and the Asian youth ran off.
The police were brutal in their treatment of anti fascists, even threatening some of them with arrest for going on the motorway!
They were forced up a side street, only to meet a larger group of fascists, forcing them to run back to the not so gentle police.
The anti fascists were pushed in the direction of Manchester centre, four or five miles away for their own safety the police claimed.
What a fuck up!

Hyde United against the Fascists

The original planned route of the march was for the EDL to march up the street past where the youth had gathered then to take a left at the top the left again down Market st down back into Hyde past the town hall and into the car park opposite the market. this didnt happen as due to the 250-300 local youth who stood firm outside the mosque determined in their will to defend their community. The EDL were led away from the station in the opposite direction for the brief stroll out of the station a few hundred yards up Manchester rd past the bus station and down an alley way at the bottom of Market street into the tiny carpark hidden from the general public.
As the rally was dispersing and the EDL were escorted back to the station only 5mins stroll from the rally a few dozen EDL and other assorted fascists attemtpted to confront the asian youths across the carpark where they were gathered outside the local mosque the youth charged them and after a few scuffles the EDL retreated back across the carpark and waited for the police to escort them away whilst giving the usual 'come on' arms wide gestures as they usually do keeping up the bravado.
Due to the determined stand of the local youth and the small band of anti fascists in attendance to defend their community the EDL plan to march triumphantly round Hyde town centre was scuppered resulting in them only having a brief stroll along the edge of Hyde town centre and home again.

Always the from anti fash, any confrontations they win, with the fash running away.
I swear there accounts are wrote before the event has even taken place, it is always the same story, it starting to look like bullshit now.
Truth be told, there has been times when it is a good job there has been a lot of police at these anti EDL demos, for the anti fash.
What is disturbing is that anti fash seem to be always seen to be standing with the Muslim youth against white youths.
Not a good idea.
As for the orginal story, I alaso heard someting about a small number of anti fash being chased onto the motorway by local Muslim youths.
Though I think the numbers involved have been reported on the high side.
