Nick Clegg ARSONIST - make this go viral ASAP

Nick Clegg lied to the nation, first in promising voters he'd abolish tuition fees, second in promising Lib Dem politics would entail "no more broken promises", before rapidly breaking both promises. Nick Clegg said if the Tories get into power there'll be "a very serious risk" of riots, before forming the coalition that enabled the Tories to get into power! The coalition raised tuition fees to permanently exclude as many working class kids from higher education as possible, forever, and then cut the EMA to make sure any of those already in education would be forced off their courses as soon as practically possible.

David Cameron and Boris Johnson were members of The Bullingdon Club, an upper-class hooligan crew who regularly smashed-up bars and restaurants, safe in the knowledge that being upper-class placed them above the law that they now seek to use against other vandals. Now it turns out Nick Clegg is a convicted ARSONIST.

The Evidence ....

15.08.2011 20:50

.... is in The Daily Mail. Nick Clegg's crime is described by that right-wing newspaper as (direct quote) "arson", and the property Nick Clegg destroyed as being valued as (direct quote) "priceless"

 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/article-1193693/Id-drunk-I-irresponsible-Criminal-Nick-Clegg-regrets.html

Meanwhile working class kids are getting 6 month jail terms, and getting criminal records that will confine them to a lifetime of socioeconomic exclusion, for stealing bottled WATER, while some right-winger are even advocating they should have been shot

Because the victim had some compassion - which is more than can be said for the coalition that nick the prick is propping up.

People are being savaged for taking part in the riots that nick predicted would follow cuts - of course he was the leader of a minor opposition party at the time.

no justice with nick the prick

seems like everyone is moaning about their punishments

15.08.2011 22:00

you got to remember that times have changed from Nick's day.

sentencing has to be harsher because people just don't seem to give a shit

when you got an 11-year old girl smirking and refusing to apologise in a courtoom, it is time to throw the book at them until they stop smirking and go oh-shit. How much punishment that is depends on the criminals.

Problem with the trolls is they can't follow logic

15.08.2011 22:45

Unlike this alleged girl, Bullingdon Club members were not below the age of criminal responsibility when they committed their crimes, as they were young adults - highly educated and economically privileged university undergraduates in fact, and when did Boris Johnson or David Cameron apologise to the courts for vandalism and arson committed by the Bullingdon Club, since (because of their wealth) none of their offences ever came to court in the first place

Boris Johnson Arsonist

15.08.2011 22:52

In the wake of riots engulfing London this week both Prime Minister David Cameron and Mayor of London Boris Johnson, rushed wearily home to voice their disdain for the looting and violence. Promising strict sentences for those involved, which include proposals to evict the families of those involved from their council homes, it may be surprising to hear of Dave and Boris's less than illustrious dealings with the law.

In 2007 David Cameron admitted in the Telegraph "Like many young people, I did things when I was young that I should not have done and that I regret." Together with young Boris, Cameron was an Oxford University student, and both were members of the Bullingdon Club. According to neeurope the current Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, was also a member. Bullingdon was a dining club described by one its members in the Telegraph as "The Bullingdon modus operandi is to book a restaurant under a false name, smash it up, and throw large amounts of money at the upset owners." According to the Country Standard Cameron described a typical night, saying "Things got out of hand and we'd had a few drinks. We smashed the place up and Boris set fire to the toilets."

Remembering the night he was arrested Boris said "The party ended up with a number of us crawling on all fours through the hedges of the botanical gardens, and trying to escape police dogs. And once we were in the cells we became pathetic namby-pambies."

Naturally the antics of Cameron and Co. were just youthful hi-jinks which were solved by throwing some inherited wealth at the problem. Fortunately these now successful politicians have given up their hooligan ways and support full measures of policing the streets to prevent a recurrence.

Upper Class Thugs and Arsonists

15.08.2011 22:58

 http://www.neurope.eu/articles/107869.php

In the wake of the riots in England, three characters scuttled back to Blighty. They had different reasons, but they had a lot in common and they were, in order of reappearance, David Cameron, Boris Johnson and George Osborne.

All three have known each other since university and were all members of The Bullingdon Club, a group of wealthy students who, rather like Inspector Clouseau, specialised in destroying every building they entered. Their chosen method was to find a rural pub or restaurant, book under an assumed name, turn up, get rip-roaringly drunk and then trash the place. A couple of days later, they would flash the cash and buy their way out of trouble. The club has been doing this since it was formed, some 200 years ago. Describing their antics on a typical night out, David Cameron said, in 1986: “Things got out of hand and we’d had a few drinks. We smashed the place up and Boris set fire to the toilets.” Such was the behaviour of today’s Prime Minister, London Mayor and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

There is, of course, a different standard when the poor misbehave - when the latest rioting occured, a lot of people dropped their common sense and started nurturing their inner Nazis, but some of the suggestions for dealing with the troubles are frightening in their stupidity. It is sobering to realise just how quickly some people can throw away their values, how easily they can become irrational.

Some of the suggestions have included using water cannons, plastic bullets and sending in the army. These tactics, as I am sure you will recall, worked so well in Northern Ireland, where the people enjoyed decades of peace and prosperity. Water cannons are used to disperse crowds; the problem faced by the police was that crowds were dispersing too rapidly. Plastic bullets can kill. This problem began with the shooting of a man by the police, and it should be obvious that another death would have greatly inflamed the situation.

MEP Roger Helmer, Conservative, said that the cops should open fire on looters. It’s bad enough that you can get a longer sentence for stealing a bottle of water than, say, for committing a million pound fraud in the stock market. But, really, bringing in a 'no-questions asked' death penalty for looting is something you normally see only in the world’s worst countries.

1. I don't think the majority of the public really give a shit. These guys paid for their damage and it didn't affect the public

2. age of criminal responsibility?!?! Oh this is the thing where kids can do what they want with impunity and say things like "They can't touch me." Fuck that - throw the book at the shits

3. You are completely going off on a tangent. Picking out something that happened years ago - that no one has really complained of, and then using it as a distraction.
Again, no one is interested in Boris or Cameron. They are interested in all the little shits that are attacking their community and not paying for it.

4. Heres one for you. Islam countries chop the hands off these kind of thieves or stone them to death. Since we are all huge supporters of Islam - how does that grab you?

5. Hardworking taxpayers do not want to pay taxes to clean up after riotors and send them on recovery holidays. Read facebook. Read twitter. Read the e-petition which has the highest signatures asking for rioters benefits to be stopped.
This is what the public want, not this crap on indymedia that just a few fringe people support like yourself.

"sentencing has to be harsher because people just don't seem to give a shit"

Unlike the MPS who gave a shit about not fiddling their expenses?

Unlike the media barons, who made sure that their stories weren't culled from dead girls mobile phones?

Unlike the cops who ensured that the murderers among them were charged and convicted and that no lies were spread through the media?

Unlike the party leaders who made sure that they weren't entertained by corrupt corporate oafs?

Unlike the cops who made sure to arrest and charge dodgy journos, rather than give them jobs?

Unlike the MPs who made sure that the ultra wealthy contributed their fair share in an 'age of austerity', rather than calling for reductions in tax for them?

Unlike the top cops who made sure they paid their way at Champney's and didn't accept freebies?

How is that these 'ferals' (sic) have no respect for the system - after all the ruling class show nothing but respect for the law.........

Why don't you go and opine at the Daily Mail - they'd love you there there.

Ref voice ov the troof
Everywone is entitled- hear? Entitled to benefits by law. So they stop benefits if i riot? What benefits? JSA? Fine, then i'll get hardship allowance and housing benefit still be paid. And if they stop hardship, then you go on ESA for stress, and again housing benefit will be paid. Until the law on entitlement to living allowance i changes, all talk of stopping benefits is rubbish. If they change that law, then what happens? Some people are entitled to live while others are not?Maybe?

EDL trolling

16.08.2011 08:52

It's pretty clear the trolling here has EDL dabs all over it, witness the troll who says "Islam countries chop the hands off these kind of thieves or stone them to death. Since we are all huge supporters of Islam - how does that grab you?". No mate "we" (Indymedia users) are not supporters of Islam, except in the warped minds of twats like EDL serial-troll Jeff Marsh! Only you could try to use this to take at pop at Indymedia about Islam

As for your points, "these guys paid for their damage and it didn't affect the public" - they destroyed bars and restaurants, owned by members of the public, and committed arson attacks that endangered the lives of members of the public, then they used aristocratic privilege to evade taking responsibility for crimes, and if "no one is interested in Boris or Cameron", then discussion of the hypocrisy of Bullingdon Club members wouldn't have been all over the media for months and Nick Clegg wouldn't have been challenged about his arson on national radio, Einstein

I agree that people don't want to pay for the damage caused by rioters, but since it costs more to keep people in prison than it does to send someone to public school, I don't think they want to pay for jailing children who stole WATER when the money could be spent keeping violent career criminals like Jeff Marsh behind bars instead, nor do I think the public want to keep shelling-out millions for policing EDL protests, so a bunch of semi-literate right-wing lunk-heads can drink in public because they've been banned from football

@unlike
I have no idea of your point. Two wrongs make a right? You've just ranted rather than made a point.

@Lowlife
I think mean all benefits. You have rights to work for Money.... no benefits does not mean loss of life.

@edl
Not Edl. Just swayed towards the right. Edl is ahoney pot for nutters like indymedia is.
My point is public anger is towardsthe rioters. Walk in any room where people work and pay taxes and this is how they feel. I realise your groups might differ but workers are in the majority. Not everyone is in ESL. Not everyone in the epeition who want benefits taken off rioters.

Excuse my typing my hands suffer and are in lot of pain sometimes typing

"Two wrongs make a right? You've just ranted rather than made a point."

Do you think punishment will make the marginalised respect the system when the ruling class patently don't? The neoliberal dream is falling part around us, and the riots were a manifestation of that. The actions were a mirror of what the ruling class do on a daily basis

Indymedia is a site for people who aren't led by the nose by the corporate media and who to quote the mission statement are interested in "reports from the struggles for a world based on freedom, cooperation, justice and solidarity, and against environmental degradation, neoliberal exploitation, racism and patriarchy"

Which quite clearly you aren't.

If we want to know what Daily Mail readers think we can go and read that website.

But they do get punished don't they. MPs who fiddled their expenses were put in jail.
I think the point you are making is about getting caught. The ruling class seem better at evading the authorities, whereas running around in front of CCTV throwing bricks isn't really that difficult to catch.

> Indymedia is a site for people who aren't led by the nose by the corporate media and who to quote the mission statement are interested in "reports from the struggles for a world based on freedom, cooperation, justice and solidarity, and against environmental degradation, neoliberal exploitation, racism and patriarchy"

There is nothing on Indymedia to say who and who can't post here.
Furthermore, they is nothing in the law that says i cannot. In fact, it is both against the editorial guidelines for you to insult and threaten me, as well as against the law.

> If we want to know what Daily Mail readers think we can go and read that website.

Until an official request from the site's owners demands i stop posting, I will not roll over in front of your obvious intimidation and bullying.

> Which quite clearly you aren't.
No one likes a bully and you sir are one. So kindly stop telling people to "fuck off" or else attitude just because you happen not to agree with them. I realise you probably think you are the hardman, but people will NOT be intimidated in this manner.

Like Michael Gove? He was caught. He paid back *some* of the money and now he's a minister. A swindler leading the moral crusade along with a looter and an arsonist. If working class kids weren't being fucked over by their crusade it would be ironic. The kids aren't pretending to have the moral superiority.

The law doesn't give you a right to post on any website, does it? And where is the threat? There is none whatsoever.

Anyway regardless of whether you fuck off or not, there is little point engaging with you. You're part of the problem.

ok you've completely lost it now. The last time I checked "Fuck off" is verbal abuse. Intimidation can take the manifestation of verbal abuse. And all intimidation is threatening. Ego.... you are threatening. Look it up lazy arse and stop expecting me to spoon feed you - you arn't on taxpayers time now boy.

I think what Nick Clegg has done is just the silliness of young boys at that age.

Its not really the same as rioting, looting, arson on a grand scale and holding the country to ransom through chronic politicised violence...is it?

Try again.

And why is Indymedia allowing itself to be hijacked by the extreme left and right wing? Those are both heirarchal organisations which we don't support!

Wicker man.

I work and pay taxes...

18.08.2011 10:16

...for my sins, and I fully support the rioters.

Well, apart from the tiny few who attacked normal people and their homes. But the smashing up and looting of big businesses that was 99% of the rioting? Great. Some of you trolls should see the bigger picture instead of moaning that your taxes might go up a few pounds to clean up after the riots.
