Too far: A site to identify and incriminate rioters
ktf | 09.08.2011 20:25 | August Riots
Going too far: Someone has created a web site to incriminate any people photographed in the London riots.
An independent body has turned up to try and identify the rioters in the London area. This is unacceptable and will lead to arrests of innocent people and false positive identification. Please campaign to rackspace.net (the owner of the network this site is being served from) to have this site shut down.
http://londonrioters.co.uk
They are accepting donations anonymously and there is no information as to who they are or what their motivations are or what information they will hold on people. It's blatantly immoral and violates people's data protection rights under law.

Doubt that will happen - i'm white
Something has got to be done about these people. They don't seem to care about other people's lives (torching shops below houses, pulling people out of cars and beating them) so we should we care about them? No-one is going to defend these scum - they are on their own
Peer punishment is part of nature. If an young wolf starts misbehaviouring then the elders in the pack will give it a nip as punishment. This is how our evolution has developed. Take that away and of course the youngsters will misbehave.

These people are drug dealers and gangsters and represent a problem for everybody. What they are doing now gives the police, the courts and the government every excuse they could possibly want to put into practice the measures they need to undermine our entire freedoms.
These people are NOT protesters, they are NOT freedom fighters, they are NOT campaigning on any issue to do with our rights and freedoms. They are gangsters and organised criminals.
If you were to build a non heirarchical society based on individual respect and freedom...these would be the people that would be colluding to destroy it. These are the people that make our society the place it has become. These morons sit around watching TV their entire lives, medicating themselves with cannabis and cocaine genuinely playing TV bandits modelled on the catastrophe that is the US. Mark Duggen sent a Blackberry message to his girlfreind saying "the feds are after me" just before he was shot.
That man is nothing more than a play actor playing a deluded game of pathetic drug addled idiocy inspired by TV and films because he was a bloody fool with fools for parents.
The man was a mindless bloody fool of the worst order and he placed himself in a situation that was bound to lead to his death. That was a deliberate decision he made and the violence that followed is a direct reference to the moronic idiocy that passes for Londons youth.
If a disaster like an earthquake were to strike the UK, order would break down and it would be these fucking retards that would be looting the wreckage while people died around them.
They think they are gangsters in Los Angeles, they dress from head to foot in brand names of multi national corporations, they medicate themselves with drugs brought in by the mafia, they treat their girlfriends like prostitutes and whores, they rob from their parents, they steal from their own communities, they kill for pennies, they carry guns and knives because they are cowards at heart, they claim benefits they aren't entitled too, they lie, they cheat.
And you want us to look after them!

not really anything to defend in these lot
agree with above poster, if there was no police, these people would come in your house and take everything you had including the food out of the pantry
theres a well seen video of them 'helping' an injured teenager and robbing his backpack. get the picture?
the prosecution rests

When you piss on and ridicule the poor both in media and to their faces, there will be riots. It's happened for thousands of years. Everyone is part of the problem, not just the poor. That means, you, I, the owners of the burned out buildings and the poor themselves are responsible for this. You force a class barrier into society and resentment rises resulting in animals.
It's easy to point your finger and dish out suggestions of punishment but you've all made a rod for your own back and now you're paying for it. If you burn, you lit the fire.
Prevention (care) is better than cure (punishment).

i'm sure that the people who have lost everything they own to thugs who did it for shits and giggles will be happy with your excuses.
the 'poor' are not poor. They have the latest smartphones, expensive clothes, expensive trainers.
It is all status symbols to show how hard they are.
It is NOT my problem that an angry youth decides to sit on his arse, play an xbox, and live like a feral.
However, if you want to make it my problem and blame it on me, then you need to give me the authority to run the ferals life so that i can turn it around for the better. This means getting them out of bed at 6am and putting them to work.
If you don't give me this power, then there is nothing i can do - hence it isn't my problem at all
it is the ferals problem and they can live their life on a cause & effect basis.
If i robbed shops then my life would be shit too - but hey, i don't because i know the consequences. Its not my fault they are thickies.
People are not going to give them handouts if they bite the hand that feeds them.
They are on their own from now on and can carry on being poor and downtrodden, dealing dime bags if they want.

I am judged as poor because I wear very cheap clothes (army surplus) and have a 5 year old Nokia. That in itself is wrong as all I desire is functional items.

good for you. I'm similar - i don't crave material things and get lot of clothes off ebay.
I don't consider myself poor. Got somewhere to live, got food to put in my mouth. NHS (albeit its a bit useless). Better off than most people in the world and certainly don't need to rob shops for a new pair of trainers.
And why do you think it is that "the poor" feel the need to have the latest smartphones, expensive clothes, expensive footwear etc. It's because the consumer lifestyle is pushed down their throats through a constant bombardment of marketing and advertising.
errr..... and that is an excuse is it. "They made me do it.". lol. ok. Sorry doesn't wash. I don't go robbing stuff because of marketing and 100,000s of other people don't either. So what makes these youths so different from us considering we see the same marketing and advertising as them? Parents? Genetics? Is it a valid excuse? Do we let them off because they saw a billboard saying to buy an iphone?
You are really struggle to validate a youth burning down a shop because they saw an advert for a new pair of shiny trainers.
I put it to you: If they were persuaded to rob and loot because of advertising and marketing then we can equally dissuade them by beating them with batons.

But as far as advertising is concerned. Couldn't it be equally said that commercialisation and advertising are now so successful, that major citywide rioting is occurring in Western societies as the aspirant's are now burning shops down and rioting to get at these goods. And that these label festooned yobberati are the first sign that consumerism is...about to consume itself!
If it isn't that...then its mental illness caused by drug dependency mixed with poor education and parental neglect.
It isn't about class, that's for anti-tory Labour party socialista and it isn't about poverty, that's for the liberals.
Here's a video which absolutely sums up the mentality of those taking part in this 'operation to empower the police, the state and everything that will make our lives dark, miserable and not worth living (i.e just like the life of a drug addict)'

This does not justify their actions but I think many parties are to blame: the kids themselves, their parents, their schools and the current and previous governments.
Maybe a lot of these youngsters are from drug dealing families, but as prohibition actually makes dealing a viable prospect for making money you can hardly blame them.
Anarchy should be about taking appropriate responsibility for one's actions.
Yes the youth should know better, but so should the police and the rest of society.

So the solution is ... um, to shop anyone that you reckon (without even the standards of proof that the police and courts will use in these tense times) - anyone you reckon was involved, and offer them up to vigilante justice?
Clap, clap.

The pictures you're referring to are taken legally, and uploaded legally. The question is whether they can be relied on as evidence in court. As we know, CCTV can be so used, and most of these are pictures from CCTV.
