UK Gov Pays Fees of Rich International Students

anon | 31.05.2011 00:37

The UK Government is paying up to £12,000 towards the fees of International students, plus air travel, plus living costs.

The students chosen are always the richest of the rich in developing countries- they are the only ones who have had the resources to get to university entrance level. Further, they are often the sons and daughters of the power elite of brutal dictatorships that deny access to education to there own people. Then why does the UK gov use its 'cultural' agency, the british council to administer such an unfair scheme- especially considering the gov attitude to UK student finance. There is no record of the total spent anually, its a secret- democracy don't you love it!

business as usual

It's all international business. London finishing schools for the global rich plus largest % of property investment in England is internationals. After all the rich have fucked our industries, stolen our land, done deals for an import/export money laundering economy, deskilled the working classes, and to achieve this they welcome their rich friends in other countries who do the same. The IMF wants a mobile workforce and London welcomes gangsters in suits and their kids and offers them protection in return for dodging dealings/ job offers/ non exec quago positions/ cheap imports/ arms deals etc etc.. You wonder where aid really goes- in this startegy of marketisation, cheap labout and land theft. Nobody said much about the IMF drooling over Egypt for a bit of structural adjustment debtocracy - oh sorry they call it democrac y hah fucking ha. Watch out for the liberals - they will shaft you as they have been doing for years...Listening to Oxfam on radio 4 this morning - -are the spokes-people really that dim or too fat themselves?

long term unemployed and pissed off

Jealousy?

Sounds like the poor are jealous of the rich for having money.
Parents should of studied at school more and worked to get a decent job.
