21 Jan 2010. Stop the War Coalition called for a demonstration for Tony Blair's appearance at the Chilcot Inquiry. A small gathering met outside the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Westminster.

Stop the War Coalition announced a protest saying that Blair went to war despite knowing that lawyers thought the war was not legal. BBC reports that Blair turned up two hours early allowing him to avoid protestors. The official time for the start of the proceedings was supposed to be 9.30am so despite the efforts of protestors to turn up at 8.00am, most of them missed Blair's entrance. Having said that the reports showed a small number of protestors early enough to catch him (so congratulations to them for being so early). I was not there myself at the start but BBC reports about a dozen protestors at that time.

It was a cold day for standing still outside the conference centre, but many people had been determined to stay - some having travelled from as far away as Bradford.

Here are some photos I took during the day while I was there.
