Famous Sheffield activist, Mark Mozaz Wallis, is on a life-support machine and has been reported to be close to death. Should Mozaz (as he is affectionately known by many) fail to pull through, it will be a blow to all right-thinking men.
He's got swine flu.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to him.

I don't know you, but...

no you don't know Mozaz, or Moses... i was going to say, you don't want to, really, but as you're daft enough to publicly connect someone with the name they post under on indymedia, maybe you'd fit right in to his ever-dwindling circle of admirers.
He lies. He spreads false rumours. He endangers other people with stupid malicious gossip and irresponsible loudmouthery. He disrupts every group or scene that admits him with his abusive rants and bullying, slanders 'fellow activists', until he is eventually suspended or kicked out - he then moves on to some other group who has never heard of him. He lives in a fantasy world where he is a big hard leader, and everyone who disagrees with him or questions his lies, his mad self-promoting ego, whose opinions differ, he viciously attacks. There are other lists of his achievements, but we don't have the space, or the time. This has been going on for the best part of 30 years. Ask ex-members of the old Blackberry Anarchists, anyone from the anarc hist scene in there in the 1990s, anti-JSA folk from the mid-90s, Earth Firsters, people from the Matildas squat... the list is endless. I first met him some 23 years ago. He makes me shiver.
No it's really not friendly or 'comradely' to wish someone dead who you once worked with, but he is a very unpheasant plucker, and takes up space in the world a more worthwhile being could inhabit.
If this is a wind-up, by the way - congratulations.

I last saw him at Mathilda's a few years ago at a EF! summer gathering meeting we were holding there, again he welcomed me and the others into the building and arranged us all some cups of tea and use of a computer.
I know some people have problems with him but I don't as he has always treated me and others I know with respect and consideration.
Get well Moses

Whilst I know all about his often irritating character and his propensity to rub people up the wrong way, I can only speak from my own personal experience. He has been a true and good friend to me for over 20 years, irritating, annoying, full of tall tales but with a heart of gold. I wish him a speedy and full recovery. He's by no means out of the woods yet, he is still critical but I'm staying hopefull.

Get Well Soon, Mozaz

It says something about your larger than life character that you can still divide opinion even though you're unconscious!
'Ex-Anarchist' should be a little more self-reflective before s/he so publicly attacks an individual (especially one currently unable to defend themselves). As for the 'hope he dies' brigade, you're pretty sad aren't you. I bet these comments pages and forums are the closest you get to real human interaction. Seriously, you really need to get out more.
Get well soon,
W x
