"On Sunday 25th October 2009 a photograph was published in the News of the World showing a Millwall 'supporter' wearing a Galatasaray shirt with the perpetrator clearly attempting to incite Leeds United fans.

"It has since come to the attention of Millwall FC and the Metropolitan Police that this individual has been wrongly identified as Darren Robertson.

"Mr Robertson and his family have been subjected to an unjustified hate campaign from certain individuals and as such, to prevent this from going
further, we would like to take this opportunity to confirm again that the picture was not Darren Robertson.

"The Metropolitan Police and Millwall FC are continuing their investigation into the true identity of the individual."

Leeds United would appeal to any of their fans who have contacted Mr Robertson to please not do so again.

Dumb Football: Millwall fan faces lifetime ban after wearing Galatasaray shirt at Leeds game

Millwall have promised to punish the brainless idiot who taunted Leeds United fans by wearing a Galatasaray shirt and making stabbing motions (he wasn’t the only one) on Saturday during their League One encounter at the New Den (the Lions won 2-1).

The incident was an obvious – and disgusting – reference to the tragic death of two Leeds fans who were stabbed to death before their side’s UEFA Cup semi-final against the Turks in 2000.

Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler told the Sun: “Another fan was ejected and arrested for waving a Turkish flag… We didn’t see the man wearing the Galatasaray shirt, but we will try to identify him from CCTV and photographs and if we do, he will be banned.”

I am the lad that joined MISA. Now I know Lagboat's reply, to me, looked nasty and I took it literally as someone who has AS would do. Lagboat's reply, to most people looked very bad, I can see that too.

I have had no problems in MISA at all. Since this happened, two members in particular have helped me there, helped me to understand that this is typical of their brand of humour. Even the autism jokes don't offend me, it's something I've put up with over the years. I also didn't need to make a post explaining that I was autistic. It wasn't an agenda and I certainly didn't want to make a debate on disability. the reason I did announce joining in that way was so that people would know that quite often I read things in the way that often is not what was intended, something I am quite used to. I thought it was just being honest. What I've learned is that they don't care if I have a disability, it does not matter, I can join in the forums and talk Millwall as much as I like.

Someone and I have no idea who, posted this topic up. I can see why they did it, maybe they thought they were helping me, but we can see that it did more bad than good. Now it's brought up a lot of bad feeling about different matters, mostly about Lagboat.

I just wanted to say that I've spoken with Lagboat and we've both agreed things could have been different, he's apologised and so have I.

He doesn't seem as bad as all this [other stuff] when you talk to him, so I'm writing to make the point that things are okay with me and MISA and I will stay on the forum because reading all the topics, some of it is hilarious, there are some senses of humour going on there for sure!

It seems that this site is sitting back and allowing a servere case of harrassment to unfold and a torrent of abuse to be thrown at people who have been found guilty of nothing as far as I can see!

Does anyone know for sure if what has been posted is true and correct? If the personal details of people are being displayed on your page and are not being removed and the poster banned then there are serious issues with the admin team responsible for the up keep of site.

This latest offering even refers to the fellas girlfriend as "his slag". This is dispicable and is obviously being done by somebody with a personal vendetta against these men. I challenge the admin of this site to check the posters IP address, as I believe that these posts are all coming from the same source!

Come on grow a pair and stop allowing your site to be used as a tool to personally attack people that aren't known to anybody who reads this complete and utter tripe! After all it isn't a crime to suport Millwall yet is it?
