Probation Offices Attacked in Bristol

Hooligans with Conscience | 17.03.2010 10:23 | Repression | Social Struggles | South Coast | World

At 2am on 17 March, anarchists attacked the inner-city probation offices in Stokes Croft, Bristol.

Paintbombs were thrown, the windows destroyed, were to personnel gates locks attached and slogans " No prison - no State" and " For Lambros" on the walls were spray-painted. This activity is inaugurated on the death of our comrade Lambros of Athens in Greece, who was murdered by cops and represents part of our active denial of the control system. This attack came also in solidarity with Alfredo and Christos, with G20 and Gaza defendants, and with all prisoners who fight.

Great work sisters and brothers!! keep it up. Solidarity to all those above. We are criminalised for sitting back and doing nothing most of the time anyway - so we might as well do shit!

Well done, Mr. Taxpayer.

Did you pay for all those broken windows, and shattered lives, and dead children in Iraq and Afgahnistan and Packistan, mr. tax payer? Did you successfully rid the world of 'weapons of mass distruction, Mr tax payer, or did you pay for them?

You won't find one person in the probation or court service who dosen't fully support government policy. They are a policy enforcement office. Well done to those who disable these institutions, you have friends you don't know.

anarchist; self employed person who works form home.

Oh, not again!

'You won't find one person in the probation or court service who dosen't fully support government policy. They are a policy enforcement office. Well done to those who disable these institutions, you have friends you don't know'.

And friends we don't want!!! I'm getting really bored of this idiot and his comments.

I fully support the actions of the probation office smashers, but for 'self employed, working class hating tosspot' as I shall be calling him from now on to label everyone in the court service as uncritical supporters of govt policy is stupid beyond belief.

I'm so glad for him that he has the finances to start his own little petty-capitalist business (and some-how label himself an anarchist for doing so), but most of us have no choice but to work - even if we often work FOR shitty EMPLOYERS.

Yes, support actions against the court sytem, but to label working class people who are just doing a job, and getting exploited themselves by a crap boss as oppressive themselves just displays the sort of anti-working class sentiment that makes me dispair of many anarchists today.

i have had many years of experience going through many different probation services. one thing is for sure - there are a few decent people working there. to say they all supoprt government policy is just a stupid comment from a stupid individual. doesn't change the fact that these places are legitimate targets. whether the probation workers have good intentions or not, it doesn't change the fact that these places are an essential part of the criminal injustice system. fuck em up good!!

"I'm so glad for him that he has the finances to start his own little petty-capitalist business (and some-how label himself an anarchist for doing so), but most of us have no choice but to work - even if we often work FOR shitty EMPLOYERS"

Why you would support the capitalist system by working to help prop it up? I would also like to ask what you would do with all the dangerous criminals, say, child sex offenders and murderers, do you let them run to do what ever they like? Not a big fan of the prison system but can assure you that some need to be locked well away. I also wonder how many anarchists take full advantage of the state benefit system..?

Anarchism is just a pathetic excuse to act like dickheads.

What do you think you have achieved by this action?

real anarchist

solidarity people!

17.03.2010 15:38

Congratulations on a successful attack people, much solidarity from london. Bristol seems to be hotting up at the moment, might have to take a trip down your way at some point soon and get involved what with the attacks on RBS the other week as well. Who knew the revolution would start in the south west eh? I moved out of the area a while back because of lack of interest in action but its starting to look like i should of stayed!

Can we just ignore the dumb fucker with the superiority complex now please, its been weeks and we're all aware he's knob, its not like he's a danger to us anyway, his arguments are so piss poor that no one is gonna rethink the way they resist because of his bullshit, with any luck he'll be workin hard at home one day, have a heart attack and die alone and cold on his office floor, surrounded by all the lovely things he's worked so hard to purchase.

and mate, if you think anarchism's just an excuse to act like a dick but you support this action then you've already lost the argument, i imagine the people who took this action would consider themselves anarchists as we tend to be the only people who campaign for prison abolition. Plus just about every report of direct action on this website was probably taken by people who would consider themelves either anarchist or libertarian communist or somethng along those lines. So if you really believe that id suggest finding a different website to spend time commenting on. I dont post on stormfront for a reason.....

ANON

@ (A) Sab: semicolon

17.03.2010 18:00

I note that Mr self-employed anarchist has changed the colon to a semicolon in their name:
"anarchist; self employed person who works form home."

So it seems they aren't defining an anarchist as someone who is self-employed, but rather describing themselves as falling into both categories.

I'm not sure you need to be wealthy to start a small business. For example, aren't Big Issue sellers classed as self-employed? I don't think they are generally rich petty-capitalists. I'm not self-employed myself but I can see how it would appeal to people of an anarchist persuasion. We have to live in a capitalist society so nothing is going to be perfect, but until the revolution ;-) I can't see how being self-employed is any worse than working for someone else. Sure we can be doleys but it's not that easy long-term and isn't an option for some people due to circumstances.
