As announced in our press release last week we plan to hold weekly one hour long vigils near the
Luton War Memorial, which means we will be there on Saturday 30th January

NAMES OF THE FALLEN UK TROOPS
This coming Saturday we plan to read out the names of the 249 UK troops already killed in Afghanistan since operations began in 2001. Also we will remind people of the 32,000 Afghan people killed during this war.
Our first peace vigil passed off peacefully and attracted some attention from the Luton shoppers and we were joined by people from Green Party, a Luton Councillor
and anti-war activists. We left quietly and picked up any litter we made.
