Athens: Conspiracy of Cells of Fire claim National Bank bombing

atgr | 28.12.2009 21:37 | World

On Monday night, the group conspiracy of cells of fire posted a communique on Athens Indymedia (greek original:  http://athens.indymedia.org/front.php3?lang=el&article_id=1116833 ) claiming Sunday night’s attack on the national bank and insurance agency on Sygrou Avenue in Athens. The explosion was very strong, marking an upgrading in the group’s capacities – as they themselves note in the communique. They send “comradely greetings” to anarchist bank robber and prisoner Yiannis Dimitrakis, to Chilean anarchists Freddy Fuentevilla and Marcelo Villaruel, to Gabriel Pompo da Silva (who went on hunger strike on December 20 in the prison of Aachen, Germany) as well as Ilias Nikolaou, Polykarops Georgiadis (another two anarchist prisoners in Greece) and finally, Charis Chatzimichelakis and Panayiotis Masouras, as well as the third person in pre-trial detention in connection to the conspiracy of cells of fire case, who they name by initials only.

i genuinely hope the actions in greece spread around the world even more than usual. the conspiracy of cells of fire are a good group to have around. keeps the 'system' on its toes and lets it know that its days are numbered........maybe another fifty years of capitalist growth and then bang.....all down hill form there and we'll be waiting to kick it when its down and out and rebuild something positive for all beings from the ruins.

solidarity to all anarchists and other socialist libertarians involved in the fight for freedom......

Personally i dont care what the score is; it is good and uplifting to hear such stories from afar but the main thing is to rage against this system regardless of time and place: hereby i also would like to make a report of attack on mc donald in bristol on 10th dec night when several windows were smashed but at 11 am there was 4 vans of south west glass company who fitted the windows surprisingly fast . at least a few zombies did.t have breakfast in this shithole: it is easy and fun . i don.t understand why there is no such actions in britain:

One of the reasons for lack of such actions in the UK is the sheer number of CCTV cameras over here - it makes life harder (but not impossible).

dont be paranoied just be fucking careful: we proceeded with the action after we saw cop car on patrol passing right under our nose and under cctv: they rarely work and its a pitiful excuse:

paranoia, or staying out of the cells?

ninja, it's not paranoid - the uk is the cctv capital of the world.

I leave my front door and I have two local authority/police cctv cameras pointed at my door & in my street. If I leave by the back door I have another one pointed directly at it.

Walking down the two streets needed to get anywhere I have three more cameras to deal with. That doesn't mention the private cameras owned by shops (two pointing onto the street) and however many unknown that people have on their houses.

I know all about being careful, but that doesn't change the fact that working class estates in the UK are overrun with cctv, meaning less actions.

If we all lived in nice middle-class suburbs then sure, we'd be able to go out doing five actions a night. As it is, we plan and strike when and where we can - reporting on IM isn't the highest of our priorities.

Do you realise what you are doing is illegal?

And just how do you get time to do this. Don't you have hobbies
I don't even have time to do all the things I want what with training and fitness. Can't believe you are throwing best years of your lives away wearing hoodies and playing ninja. Are you planning to do that in your 40z or are you going to look back and think that you were a bunch of knobs?
