Alfredo Bonanno was arrested in Greece "for bank robbery", the news is confirmed.

Bonanno was arrested yesterday, together with a person from Greece, as suspects "for bank robbery" (that is, there are two arrestees).

Greek TV also confirmed the news. The MegaTV channel talked about the arrest of a "well-known Italian 73-year old anarchist and a Greek person" without revealing their names. The ET TV channel also talked about the arrests.

From Wikipedia it says that Bonanno was arrested in the past too: On February 2, 2003 Bonanno was sentenced to 6 years in prison plus a €2000 fine (first degree 3 years, 6 months) for armed robbery and other "crimes" (quote marks added by the translator).

From the capitalist media:

2 persons arrested "for bank robbery":

A robbery took place in the morning in Trikala city, Greece. The arrested are a 70-year old person from Italy and a 46-year old person from Greece.

The bank robbery happened at 10.35 in the morning. The 46-year old man was camouflaged with moustache and fake hair and was wearing glasses. Handling a handgun, he got 46.900 Euro from the bank.

After leaving the bank, he gave the money and the handgun to the 70-year old man, and then he took away alone in a rented car.

However, the 46-year old man was arrested 20 minutes later by cops (translator: of course the media use the nice word "police officers") who had blocked the street at the 6th km (kilometre) of the Trikala-Kalampaka road.

The arrestees were presented to the public prosecutor (and this says something i can't translate like they are going to be charged or something).

Apart From The Obvious Exceptions...

It's well worth reading Alfredo's pamphlet about the ridiculous frame-up of the Marini trial 'Apart From The Obvious Exceptions' that placed him and numerous others in prison and house arrest.

"Two well dressed little men, frequenters of the Courts of Rome by profession, have decided to arrest a few dozen comrades and incriminate as many more… A girl just turned twenty ends up reciting the role of the ‘penitent’ under the protection of a forest of bayonets… But we are defending ourselves. Because we are not convinced that the game is over completely, or that the State is winning even this ongoing small battle, and we believe there are still possibilities, even legal technicalities, in our favour. Apart from the obvious exceptions of course'.

lol this is so funny

Hes robbed a bank with a handgun. And then is complaining when he got caught and "justifying" (quotes added by author) with some clap trap about him deserving the money.

Never mind the poor people whos lives were in danger and will probably be suffering post traumatic stress for the rest of their lives. Stuff them. They deserve what they got didnt they?

Only in Greece.

Crime? Criminal? Ha ha. Enjoy your slavery if you think there's such a thing!!

Best of luck, Alfredo, a lifelong rebel.

plonker

they should take his gun and point at at his head and pull the trigger.
If he was kind person and didn't have put bullets in it, he'll live. Otherwise he'll die

Anyone who is reckless enough to point guns at people is a plonker. Theres enough guns in the world and dickheads using them without this child adding to their number.

Hes obviously not the sharpest tool in the box if he got caught.
