Alfredo Bonanno was arrested in Greece "for bank robbery", the news is confirmed.
Bonanno was arrested yesterday, together with a person from Greece, as suspects "for bank robbery" (that is, there are two arrestees).
Greek TV also confirmed the news. The MegaTV channel talked about the arrest of a "well-known Italian 73-year old anarchist and a Greek person" without revealing their names. The ET TV channel also talked about the arrests.
From Wikipedia it says that Bonanno was arrested in the past too: On February 2, 2003 Bonanno was sentenced to 6 years in prison plus a €2000 fine (first degree 3 years, 6 months) for armed robbery and other "crimes" (quote marks added by the translator).
From the capitalist media:
2 persons arrested "for bank robbery":
A robbery took place in the morning in Trikala city, Greece. The arrested are a 70-year old person from Italy and a 46-year old person from Greece.
The bank robbery happened at 10.35 in the morning. The 46-year old man was camouflaged with moustache and fake hair and was wearing glasses. Handling a handgun, he got 46.900 Euro from the bank.
After leaving the bank, he gave the money and the handgun to the 70-year old man, and then he took away alone in a rented car.
However, the 46-year old man was arrested 20 minutes later by cops (translator: of course the media use the nice word "police officers") who had blocked the street at the 6th km (kilometre) of the Trikala-Kalampaka road.
The arrestees were presented to the public prosecutor (and this says something i can't translate like they are going to be charged or something).
