This year has seen unspeakable atrocities in Gaza, the continuing occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, and countless deaths of innocent civilians. But we’ve also seen a resurgence of student activism, from university occupations to riots in Kensington, and a good few bouts of shoe-throwing along the way.

This is why now, more than ever, is the time to build a vibrant and diverse anti-war movement. We invite you all to attend the annual Stop the War student conference on the 19th September in central London; as well as a talk from Ilan Pappe, the renowned anti-Zionist historian, and eyewitness reports from Afghanistan, there will be a variety of workshops on Islamophobia, Afganistan and Palestine among others.

We welcome anyone who opposes war and injustice and has creative ideas to build the student movement in the coming year. To register for the free conference, email  office@stopwar.org.uk. We look forward to seeing you there!
