'Military staff' deployed against protestors during DSEi 2007?

localresident | 03.09.2009 10:01

local paper Stratford and Newham Express claims military staff were protecting DSEi from protestors in 2007.

An article in the Stratford and Newham Express this week says

'Though the last show, in 2007, was a largely peaceful event, some 3,000 Metropolitan Police officers, British Transport Police and military staff flooded Newham to ensure that exhibitors and visitors were protected from protestors.'

an online edition of the paper can be seen here, article on page 6:

"Protected from protestors"?? They do realise it's these staff and companies that are the ones dropping bombs, right?

It's the world that is in dire need of protection from THEM, and the police who stand in front of mass murderers to protect them.

Something just doesn't add up here! :/

WTF
