local paper Stratford and Newham Express claims military staff were protecting DSEi from protestors in 2007.
An article in the Stratford and Newham Express this week says
'Though the last show, in 2007, was a largely peaceful event, some 3,000 Metropolitan Police officers, British Transport Police and military staff flooded Newham to ensure that exhibitors and visitors were protected from protestors.'
