In June of 2009, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security denied respected musical artist, publisher and Weslh language activist Arfon Gwilym entry into the United States to perform at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington. D.C. (info: http://url.ie/1ufy )
Arfon Gwilym is a peaceful man who engaged in non-violent protest decades ago to resist the obliteration of his people's culture.
He poses no threat whatsoever to the security of the United States. Furthermore, the American people are being denied the educational and cultural benefits which this important exponent of Welsh culture has to offer.
