Legislated to undermine Trade Unions referring to them as ‘the enemy within’.Ordered the police to visciously attack miners who were striking to protect their jobs. Introduced the Poll Tax. Threw millions out of work.Sold-off our water to private companies (despite 75% opposition). Sold off our gas. Sold off our British Rail arguing that it was a drain on the taxpayer (private rail companies now get more tax payers subsidy than BR did!).Sold off our BT. Shut health facilities and cynically called it ‘care in the community’. Deregulated the finance industry. Declared “there is no such thing as society” and created the ‘me first’ yuppie culture...............

Meantime there is some consolation for her continuing to waste oxygen. Due to developing dementia she has to be frequently reminded that her husband is dead, and each time relive the grief of hearing it for the first time. We can only guess why she agreed to marry the multi-millionaire Dennis Thatcher in the first place
