The Tescos Metro on Commercial Road has had all it's windows smashed. While there was no apparent clue left to suggest a motive for the attack, Tesco sells many Israeli products from illegally occupied land.
This attack follows a similar attack on a Starbucks in Whitechapel which also had its plate glass windows smashed and in a later and probably related attack had a small fire set inside the premises.
Mainstream media have been reporting a number of attacks which they attribute as being anti-semite. While attacks on random jews or synagogs are obviously anti-semite in nature, the targeting of zionist organisations and their collaborators should not simply be passed off as racist in this way.
This week the Zionist PR firm Bicom based in Oxford Street was targeted by protesters and many other Zionist organisations and enabling companies are also being targeted or boycotted.
