Afzal Khan, former Labour mayor of Manchester addressed the Gaza demo in Albert square, Manchester today.
Councillor Afzal Khan, former Labour mayor of Manchester and former copper with the GMP addressed the crowds that gathered at Albert square in Manchester after the march from All Saints Park.
Despite being a member and hence representative of the ruling Labour party which supports Israel, he was invited to speak and given a platform by the SWP who through the Stop the War Coalition have hijacked the demo previously organised by the 'Gaza Solidaity Committee'.
Despite Labour a few days ago opposing a UN Security Council resolution condemning the bombing of Gaza, the SWP opportunists have allowed Labour to appear progressive yet again. This should not be allowed to happen.
No platform for racists. No to Labour. Boycott Israel.

2 Maybe they did not want to be surrounded by religious nutters shouting death to the infidels
3 Maybe they did not want to be surrounded by middle class very confused A to B demonstrators
4 What the fuck will it change with a few thousand people when nothing changed with a few million?
Andy I know thats your ball but it aint mine. You love the egotistical Galloways, Benns and Livingstones of the fucked up Brirtish movement who only care for their own careers (not forgetting Galloways big brother episode) and their own bank balances.
So Andy you stick with your pathetic lot §nd let the Anarchists do their thing behind the scene which trust me will seek proper justice for the oppressed.....
By the way maybe you should check the incomes of these parasites!
