Bristol solidarity with Greek anarchists

BRISTOLIAN | 10.12.2008 11:54 | Anti-militarism | Repression | Social Struggles

Bristol police station attacked.

As police repression in Greece escalates, we, a few of many anarchists in Bristol, feel compelled to act in solidarity with Greek anarchists. We see those struggling against police repression abroad as allies in the fight against state repression throughout the world. All repressive state institutions are targets.

Last night, Newfoundland Road police station was attacked. Missiles were launched at their vehicle compound, damaging bodywork and windscreens, rendering around eight police vehicles inoperable, at least for the day. A message of solidarity was sprayed on the station.

We urge anarchists who feel a sense of solidarity with greek anarchists to take immediate action, by whatever means necessary.

"rendering around eight police vehicles inoperable, at least for the day" Well let's hope that it isn't your wife being attacked and who could do with some hep from the police, or maybe your house being burgled...you people are so fucking dumb it is almost beyond belief. Incidentally, 'anarchists', the trouble in Athens was started by immigrants, the rioting being taken up by you anarcho-leftist imbeciles.

Unfortunately a lot can be concluded by the lack of organisation/will in a country when someone is shot dead for no reason whatsoever, there is a proven series of lies by the police on the persons actions and 'highly suspicious' clothing, and even a (badly) photoshoped pic of the victim, trying establish a physical similarity with the original suspect, yet the only movement on the streets is that of 'happy to go into further debt' shoppers. However, there is never a bad time to attack a police station or indeed any symbol of the police. Last month two thousand people marched across London demanding Justice for relatives, spouses, friends, who have died under 'suspicious' circumstances in police custody. In June Police violently repressed a protest the Smash EDO protest in Brighton, demonstrating that their only role in society is to protect the murderous capitalist infastructure, rather than civilians and the right to life. Snatch squads, 'random' stop and search which always seems to be limited to the black/muslim community, invasion of private space, the list could go on forever. There is never a bad time to attack these bastards and organise a movement to destroy all mechanisms of oppression be it the state, the capitalist, or their protectors. The key here is that the movement must be inclusive of a large majority, and must be ideologically motivated. For this to happen there needs to be parallel action involving organisation and education (something not offered by our 'free' 'democratic' institutions) Untill then hovever our symbolic outburst against these symbols of authority will continue. We owe it to all those who have suffered and continue to suffer in the hands of these savages.
