Remembrance Day Blues For Norfolk BNP

East Anglian Antifascists | 16.11.2008 11:58 | Anti-racism

There’s nothing quite like a fascist comedy to perk you up on a sunny Remembrance Sunday. Especially when it involves the no hopers of Norfolk BNP.

Receiving information that the BNP in Norwich would be making an appearance at the Remembrance Sunday Parade outside City Hall along with ‘dignitaries’ such as MP’s Ian Gibson and Charles Clarke, a few anti-fascists braved the early Sunday morning to hunt down said ‘brave nationalists’ only to find their prey absent from the proceedings.

Excited that the BNP may have choked themselves to death over night in memory of all those who died fighting fascism and Nazism in Europe during the early half of the last century, a phone call was made to their ‘insider’ to find out exactly what was going on.

It seems the Regional Organiser Steve Ames was close to having a heart attack having had his application for the BNP to join in the Remembrance Service denied. Strange as nationally the BNP appear to be frequenting Royal British Legion Clubs and conning the organisation into thinking them true well-wishers instead of opportunistic fascist scum. Clearly though in this case they have Ames well and truly sussed.

Meanwhile a rather red faced and tearful Ames who is proprietor of  http://tridentperformance.co.uk (according to our contact “a shit and ringer car company that he runs from his shed") nearly ploughed into a tree when receiving the sad news of ‘fuck off you wont be coming’ then burst into tears after remembering telling all and sundry in his local how the BNP would be attending.

Ames last year re-took control of the Norfolk BNP Organiser position after Robert Wright, proprietor of ‘The Bookman’ bookseller shop in Norwich, showed his total ineptitude to all matters involving organisation.

Wright, within hours of taking up the position had managed to inadvertently forward all the local memberships email addresses to anti-fascists which led to names and addresses of many of the BNP’s top activists falling into the wrong hands.

To save face Ames quickly organised another less public remembrance wreath laying ceremony in an undisclosed location far from prying eyes. One wonders how long said wreath remained in place.

To really rub salt into BNP wounds after UKIP told them to shove their request for an ‘alliance’, it was more than funny to watch as the UKIP wreath was rested against the cenotaph outside city hall during the service.

Ames really shouldn’t worry about such a little thing.

What is most likely to cause problems within the BNP locally is when the rumours get out that Ames has been allegedly banging Wright’s partner at The Malting’s Hotel in Weybourne.

Our leading light BNP hero and fundraiser was seen recently staggering out of the Prince of Denmark in Sprowston, Norwich, drunk as a judge leaning up against a lamp post and pissing himself.

That’s the ‘master race’ for you!

Is this the best we can do?

So anti fascism is reduced to this, a report which resembles something from the Sunday Sport.
Tittle tattle, gossip, and a ''sex scandal''.
The child like attitudes at home in anti fascism, makes us look like of bunch of public school boys, always trying to be smutty and naughty.
Well no surprise really, as many in anti fascism are ex public school boys, with an inbuilt prejudice towards the working classes.

Little news, much weakness

I tend to agree with George.

That the BNP were banned from this ceremony is worth a line or two. They were banned from a number of others that I've heard about, too. Did they succeed in taking part ANYWHERE I wonder? If so, shame on those who let them.

But once again this post is full of juvenile, Murdoch-style crap which just makes opposition to the BNP look feeble and contemptible. In recent weeks, we've had nazis slagged off here for being old, fat, ugly etc. I'm all of those myself (the last one being subjective, of course) and these cheap shots have nothing to do with exposing the BNP and other nazi grouplets as the racists, homophobes and violent right wing authority freaks and hatemongers they are.

Comments show some anti-fa people don't think ageism is anything to be taken seriously and they're happy to repeat it in answer to criticism. At worst, they look little different from the fascists themselves to an uninformed reader, who is likely to think "oh, sod both of you, then" or "I hate fascism, too, but I want to stay a million miles away from people like you."

It's because I don't want opposition to the increasing threat of fascism to look like its mirror image that I really despair at this sort of stuff. Anti-fascism is NOT its mirror image, so please grow up and stop making it look like it is.

What's the chance of another comment here which proves my point?

National Affront

A shame the same could not be said for the national front at the cenotaph in London.

In Response To George and Stroppyoldgit...

George, you clearly are just a stupid tit.

Stroppyoldgit.

Nicely written but lacks substance.

If you want to know where the BNP laid wreaths maybe you should google BNP Remembrance Day and have a look. You'll find they laid them across the country.

No news in this piece? Funny I have just found loads I didn't know before.

For instance I didn't know who the new BNP organiser in Norfolk was, what he looked like or where he works or what business he runs (generally BNP organisers tend to be substantial contributers to the organisation and therefore MUST be outed and dealt with).

I've also taken from this little piece it is a clear and resounding 'we know who you are '. And have also discovered exactly what kind of person we are dealing with. I also find the use of words like 'alleged' to mean the author knows who he/she is dealing with...surely that has crossed you're mind? Perhaps ponder it a little while...

I have had it confirmed now that the BNP are using British Legion Clubs to tout their shit in and in many places in the full knowledge of the RBL. This has come up before so it is a substantial and important bit of news and intelligence which adds importance to work some of us have been doing over the last few years.

You are again one of these people who keep calling the BNP 'nazis', perhaps you should try and get your head around the reality of that one because it's crap.

My main interest in your little educational lesson is whether or not you have any knowledge of the situation on the ground in Norfolk?

You also come across as someone more concerned with being 'politically correct' than serious antifascism. 'P.C.' in it's most liberal zealous form has done fuck all other than push people into the arms of the BNP, very much like some of the lunatic thinking behind multiculturalism.

Ofcourse I would be interested in your response.....

East Anglian Antifascists should be on Jackanory writing such obvious made up rubbish. It just makes them look even more stupid then they already do! That is one reason they have lost my support.
