This is the sms message that broke the news to me and it seems the world outside of the Belfast courtroom: 'Raytheon 9 in Belfast Acquitted on all charges - Eamonn McCann guilty of theft - got conditional discharge'.

Not BBC censorship but BBC progaganda for Raytheon

The BBC story reference above as having been taken down is still there as far as I can see.

However, there's also another BBC story (at

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/northern_ireland/foyle_and_west/7449983.stm) entitled " Raytheon disappointed by verdict" which simply repeats Ratheon's smear/spin about now being worried for the safety of it's staff without any comment or response from anyone else. This is despite the fact that Eamonn McCann's statement to the press outside court (see

"We reject entirely and with contempt the statement by Raytheon this evening suggesting that the result of the trial gives them concern about the safety of their employees. This is an abject attempt to divert attention from the significance of the outcome. Not a shed of evidence was produced that we presented the slightest danger to Raytheon workers. The charge of affray was thrown out by the court without waiting to hear defence evidence."

Since the BBC story about the acquittal includes another part of this statement, they have either been there or been sent a report of it. The BBC complaints number is 08700 100 222 if anyone can be arsed. Or you can complain through their website (as I have done).
