The following graphs are from theoildrum.com, where they are introduced with the following text:

"The EIA’s newest International Petroleum Monthly (  http://www.eia.doe.gov/ipm/ ) shows World C+C (Crude Oil plus Condensate) production for January was 74,466,000 barrels per day, eclipsing the heretofore peak of May 2005 by 168,000 barrels per day. (thanks to Ron Patterson for the heads up and to Khebab for the quick graphics)."

Fig 2.- World oil production (EIA Monthly) for crude oil + NGL. The median forecast is calculated from 13 models that are predicting a peak before 2020 (Bakhtiari, Smith, Staniford, Loglets, Shock model, GBM, ASPO-[70,58,45], Robelius Low/High, HSM). 95% of the predictions sees a production peak between 2008 and 2010 at 77.5 - 85.0 mbpd (The 95% confidence interval is computed using a bootstrap technique).

Yes this confirms what a number of activists are realising is true that the whole Peak Oil theory is indeed a scam designed to push up the world oil price. It's good to see real scientific evidence like this rather than just peoples feeling or ideas.

Cheers

Big Oil = Big Con

Sorry to see some in the movement still falling for the so called Peak Oil bullshit. To those who are not so easily fooled the new book by journalist Peter Stewart is due out this summer. Stewart shows the links between Shell in the UK and the funding of the first of the groups that started to push the CO2 driven climate change lie as well as Peak Oil, it lists how Greenpeace was infiltrated by individuals paid for by Shell to push Peak Oil and how those same individuals still in some cases hold prominent positions in the Green lobby organisations. As the real truth of climate change starts to trickle out a lot of people will have questions to respond to.

Stewart is devoting all the profits from his book to sickle cell reserach in memory of his sister.

Not so easily fooled
