Cops become animal rights activists

'the police have asked the restaurateurs to take the ingredients off the menu'

In a recent but not unusual turn of events, the police have been going round warning restaurateurs about animal rights 'extremists', urging them to take appalling abuse off their menu.

The cops have also been:

'[...] carrying out undercover work and monitoring activists after threats of damage to property and restaurants in the area.'

So we should all be safe to abuse ducks and geese soon. Though in the mean time these restaurants are going to stand firm:
