Anti-nuclear campaigners raise concerns as the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) site at Burghfield is granted planning permission for factory

SAFETY standards at AWE Burghfield were under the spotlight again on Wednesday (November 14) as an application to build a new components factory on the site were considered.

Anti-nuclear campaigners raised concerns about the site at a meeting of the West Berkshire Council eastern area planning committee on Wednesday, where AWE was granted planning permission to build a new components manufacturing facility.
