Activists from Faslane Peace Camp stopped a nuclear convoy near Balloch for half an hour whilst it was en route from RNAD Coulport to AWE Burghfield.
At approximately 10.30 on the 12th of November, 3 activists from Faslane Peace Camp locked on across the Glen Fruin Haul road, stopping a nuclear warhead convoy for half an hour whilst it was en route from the Trident warhead depot at RNAD Coulport on the west coast of Scotland, near Glasgow to AWE Burghfield, near Reading, Berkshire.
The convoy itself carries weapons of mass destruction equivalent to 24 Hiroshimas along public highways and through population centres. The monitoring of these movements by activists has resulted in this being the second consecutive convoy stop in as many months.

People are still dying because of nuclear tests carried out in the 50's and 60's over here in Australia. How in the world can this be acceptable. Go on George, enjoy your 'stuff' and leave it to the do-gooders to protect your grand children.

They were held overnight for appearance the next day at Dumbarton Sheriff court, given trial date for sometime in Feb after which they were released yesterday afternoon.
It was apparently the cutting team van they blocked, and going on timings the convoy must have stopped and waited for the all clear.
