Yesterday a peaceful protest camp began in Mouslecoomb Wild Park, Brighton to campaign against the weapons manufacturer EDO/MBM. 40 police officers have threatened to use by-laws repealed in 1928 to 'forcibly evict the camp.' Inspector Parr is in charge of the operation. Brighton Council parks department are completely unaware of the eviction. Police say they will only take half an hour to completely dismantle the camp.
Get down there to stop the eviction!

Around 30 to 40 police who could have easily been resisted by a commited group rushed us and broke up tents, banners and tripods. They are now loading all our stuff into a rented van (Avis)
They have completely dismantled the camp.
