This video shows two things clearly. One is that there were definately a lot of out of control Police actions happening at the break up of the squatted warehouse in bellevue on the 20th Jan. Another is that visiting court nowadays is a privilledge not a right.

sounds like you may have been given dodgy advice.
if you were innocent and had witnesses to show it, then a night on remand would have been well worthwhile, and you should certainly have pleaded innocent.
you could have sued the cops, taught them a lesson and pocketed several thousand pounds.
instead, they've won, you've got a serious criminal record for the rest of your life, and all that community service to do. not a good outcome.
