A Commemorative Booklet on the Spanish Civil War - 1936 - 2006 has been published by North West Trades Unionists.

Published by the Greater Manchester 70th Anniversary Spanish Civil War Remembrance Group, this booklet A4 18 pages is on sale at £1(£1.50 post included). Edited by the veteran anarchist Brian Bamford, the booklet contains an introduction by Stuart Christie who served 3 years of a 20 year gaol sentence in Spain for his involvement with a Spanish anarchist group that made the last attempt on the life of General Franco in 1964. Also in the booklet is a section on the Greater Manchester volunteers who went to Spain to fight in the war and an interview with Pedro Cuadrado, from Bolton, who was a member of the Catalan Republican Guard 1936-39. the booklet can be obtained from C/o 46 Kingsland Rd, Rochdale Lancs.
